Notes 

1. Before it commences trading, a plc must have an issued share capital of at least £50,000 or 65,600 Euros, and at least 25% must be paid up on each share. It must also complete Companies House form SH50 applying for a certificate authorising the company to commence trading. 

2. A plc must must also have at least at least two directors a secretary and two shareholders. At least one director must be an individual, not a corporate entity. The secretary must have a qualification such as Chartered Secretary or Chartered Accountant.
